Tips for men to live stress-free

1. SAY “NO” WHEN YOU SHOULD

It is ok to say NO. As men, it is difficult to refuse to the family or at work. This is often seen as a negative trait but at times, especially when you know that the situation may put you under a lot of stress in the near future it is better to dismiss any requests or commands. Remember, you are not insensitive for not attending to the desires of others when you can’t. Be assertive, but gently. Communicate well and make the other person understand.

2. DO NOT TRY TO CONTROL EVERYTHING

Some things are easy to control. But at times we are under situations that are beyond one’s control. Remember people’s reactions or their expectations are not under your control. Instead, focus on things that you can control like your own happiness and what you feel, and your reactions to situations. Take a weighed approach towards life’s situations.

3. Say no to over-thinking and procrastination

Over-thinking leads to a lot of stress, it causes a person to lose out on the good things in life. It is good to be aware, but if things are influencing you in a negative way, it is better to stay away from them.

Do not procrastinate. Delaying your work is only going to make you keep thinking about it and put you under the stress of completion. Instead, schedule everything and make dedicated time, so every task that is needed to be done by you is performed with no delay and pressure.

4. Prioritize yourself

Pay attention to what you eat, eat right and nutritious foods. Try to eat home-cooked foods. Make time for physical activity and have at least 15 minutes dedicated to your mental health in the form of meditation or listening to some positive podcasts. Get quality sleep each night. Take care of your health, get regular checkups done. Best heart care hospital in Delhi.

5. Be kind to yourself

You must recognize the efforts and your contributions in all walks of life, forgive yourself when you are not able to live up to the expectations of others or your own. Cultivate a habit to talk to yourself positively, respect the choices that you make. Treat yourself every once in a while.
